"Tens of thousands of users are deploying open-source storage software in an effort to avoid pricey proprietary products such as array clustering and disk eraser applications and to get some long-term protection through the availability of source code.
Rafiu Fakunle, CEO of London-based open-source vendor Xinit Systems Ltd., said users have downloaded more than 38,000 copies of its Openfiler NAS and SAN software from the SourceForge.net Web site. And Zmanda Inc. in Sunnyvale, Calif. -- the company providing support for the open-source backup software product Amanda -- said that it supports 20,000 users worldwide."

Documentary Dossier

My new blog is about something very interesting ; it deals about CORPORATE ARCHIVES AND MAIL MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.
This blog is made in order to inform on the one hand Documentalists and Archivists, and on the other hand, the professionals.
So, I'm going to put some questions and to try to answer them.

1)- This blog is adressed to those who want to know more about corporate archives and mail management software and those who know a lot about it too! Every one is allowed to ask or answer some questions.To share opinions and informations is the aim of my blog.
Some corporations and corporate entities are invited to share their experience and focus on the technologies they have used for Electronic Management of Documents.

2)- I think that a blog is a good way of communication because it is a kind of newspaper on the web. It is more interactive than a site.
